David Chandler is Assistant Professor of Management and Co-Director of the Managing for Sustainability Program at the University of Colorado Denver. His broad area of research interest lies at the dynamic interface between the organization and its institutional environment. He is also interested in the relationship between institutions and values, and how firm actions reflect values that sustain meaningful institutions. Empirically, he focuses on studying organizations within the context of corporate social responsibility, business ethics, and firm/stakeholder relations. He received his Ph.D. in Management from the University of Texas at Austin.
Since graduating in 1991 with an undergraduate degree in ‘American Studies: Politics and Government’ (University of Kent, UK), David has divided his time between the United States, the UK, and Japan, working in the fields of business, politics, and education. In addition to his Ph.D., David has an M.Sc. in East Asian Business from the University of Sheffield, UK, an MBA from the University of Miami, FL, and an M.S. in Management from the University of Texas at Austin.
