Edited by:

May 2013 | 224 pages | SAGE Publications, Inc
This unique text explores the expansive topic of transnational organized crime, incorporating expert perspectives found throughout the world’s six inhabited continents: North America, Central and South America, Europe, Africa, Asia, and Oceania. Editors Jay S. Albanese and Philip L. Reichel gather the knowledge and expertise of numerous authors, researchers, and practitioners in this field who are either native to each world region, have extensively travelled and worked there, or are recognized scholars for those regions. Through this text, readers will begin to understand the geographic, cultural, and regional similarities and differences underying the common threat of transnational organized crime, as well as how to address the global expansion of organized crime today.

I was assured I could access instructor resources such as test banks with this book but basically find it impossible to do so on this site.

A very good overview for the introduction of transnational crime. A nicely designed publication, easy to follow and the lay out is smooth.

The theoretical framework is accessible and the chapters on each region are extremely helpful. The regional case studies ' material are paramount to understanding the transnational character of the problem and the required responses. Highly recommended for undergraduate and post-graduate students who want to be up-to-date with one of the most serious security concerns of the twenty first century.

An excellent resource, this book provides a clear and concise collection of international perspectives. This is an important book which vividly illuminates to the reader the cultural and regional composition of transnational threats.
