Political Theory publishes articles on political philosophy from every philosophical, ideological and methodological perspective. It offers essays in historical political thought, modern political theory, normative and analytical philosophy, and the history of ideas, as well as critical assessments of current work.

Broad Scope
Political Theory serves as the leading forum for the development and exchange of political ideas. The journal is broad in scope and international in coverage. Political Theory has no single affiliation or orientation, and it is dedicated to serving the entire political theory community. Political Theory's carefully refereed articles discuss current political philosophies and cast new light on historical ones. The journal covers philosophers such as as Aristotle, Marx, Foucault, Hobbes, Locke and Heidegger. Areas of study include justice, feminism, liberalism, communism, utilitarianism, political order, enlightenment and modernism.
