Waste Management & Research (WMR) satisfies the growing demand for scientifically based essential information that can be utilised by waste management professionals in academia, government, industry, engineering, management, planning, and public health.
WMR is a fully peer reviewed international journal that publishes original research and review articles relating to both the theory and practice of waste management and research.
The editorial group seeks to promote innovation and provide a bridge between academic studies and practical problems. Articles should address problems and solutions that are of general interest to the readers.
ISWA Publication Award for 2008
Professor Thomas Højlund Christensen and his research group at the Technical University of Denmark received the ISWA Publication Award for 2008 on the occasion of the ISWA Congress "East meets West" held in Singapore.
The International Solid Waste Association's Publication Award has been designated to honour the author(s) of a publication, article or book which is deemed to be exceptional in its contribution to the field of solid waste management.
Specifically the 2008 award was given with reference to an article published in 2007 in Waste Management & Research: Experience with the use of LCA-modelling (EASEWASTE) in waste management by T.H. Christensen, G. Bhander, H. Lindvall, A.W. Larsen, T. Fruergaard, A. Damgaard, S. Manfredi, A. Boldrin, C. Riber and M. Hauschild.
