SAGE Open Medical Case Reports is a peer reviewed Open Access publication. It publishes short case reports providing key insights into real medical cases essential for physicians, and that ultimately help to improve patient outcomes. Case reports may span the full spectrum of medicine across the health sciences in the broadest sense, including all clinical medical specialties, veterinary medicine, nursing, allied health and dentistry.
SAGE Open Medical Case Reports seeks to be one of the world’s premier Open Access outlets for medical case reports. As such, SAGE Open Medical Case Reports does not limit content due to page budgets or thematic significance. Papers will be subjected to rigorous peer review but will be selected solely on the basis of whether the research is sound and deserves publication. By virtue of not restricting papers to a narrow discipline, SAGE Open Medical Case Reports facilitates the discovery of the connections between papers, whether within or between disciplines.
