Personality and Social Psychology Bulletin receives manuscript submissions through a Web-based system. Starting October 1, 2008, all new manuscript submissions should be submitted to SAGETRACK. Authors should register at the SAGETRACK home page, where they will create a password and login ID. (Note that any invited resubmissions of papers originally submitted before October 1, 2008, will continue to be resubmitted to the Rapid Review system. If you were invited to review a paper for PSPB on the Rapid Review system, please log on to the reviewer portal.) The SAGETRACK system will now serve as the center for editorial staff to communicate with authors, editors, and reviewers electronically, and it will function as the platform for the review process.
Masked reviews are optional. Authors requesting a masked review should answer "yes" to the question "Do you want a double-blind review?" when completing the online submission form, and should remove all author names, institutions, and other identifying information from the electronic copy of the manuscript that is uploaded into Rapid Review.
PSPBaspires to publish papers on a wide range of topics in each issue. To accomplish this goal, manuscripts must not exceed 10,000 words in length (manuscripts exceeding this limit will not be considered for review). The word count, which includes the abstract, text, references, and notes, should appear on the title page. Manuscripts should include an abstract of no more than 150 words, and beneath the abstract, 4-5 keywords.
All manuscripts should follow the style guidelines set forth in the fifth edition of the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (including "Guidelines to Reduce Bias in Language" on pp. 61-76). Journal policy prohibits an author from submitting the same manuscript for consideration by another journal and does not allow publication of a manuscript that has been published in whole or in part by another journal. Authors must also verify compliance with APA ethical standards in the treatment of participants, human or animal.
