E-MAIL MANUSCRIPTS to the COMPARATIVE POLITICAL STUDIES Editorial Office as Word files: cps@u.washington.edu. Submit an anonymous manuscript file (all identifying information removed), plus a separate page with the title, author(s)' names and affiliations, keywords, and complete contact information for the corresponding author (mail and e-mail addresses as well as telephone and fax numbers). The abstract must state precisely the intellectual problem under consideration, the method or argument addressed to the problem, and the conclusions reached by the author(s). Articles should be double spaced, prepared with a 12-point font (Times Roman preferred), and 25 to 35 pages long (maximum 10,000 words). Longer submissions may not be considered. Count all pages and begin the abstract, reference section, footnotes, tables, figures, and appendices (if any) on separate pages. Footnotes and bibliographic citations should follow the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (5th edition). A style sheet may be obtained upon request. A brief bibliographical paragraph describing each author's current affiliation, research interests, and recent publications should accompany the manuscript. Submission of a manuscript implies commitment to publish in the journal. Please state in your cover letter that the material has not been published elsewhere in substantially similar form or with similar content. Authors in doubt about what constitutes prior publication should consult the editor. E-mailed submissions will be assigned a manuscript number and acknowledged. Unless requested otherwise, decision letters will be sent by e-mail to the corresponding author.
