Articles are accepted which deal with the direct application of group-analytic principles of work with both small and large groups in the wider context of institutions; medical, nursing and other health care services; education; and training in group work.
The journal welcomes commentaries on its published articles and aims to stimulate dialogue through correspondence.
Four copies of all articles are required, typed in triple-space on one side of the paper only with a minimum margin of 3 cm on all sides. They should be accompanied by a brief autobiographical note, a preliminary abstract, up to five key words and a word count. It is sometimes helpful if authors whose first language is not English enclose a copy of the original text as well as the translation. Once an article has been accepted, it is greatly preferred if an additional copy on a word-processing/typesetting disk, identical to the paper version, can be made available.
Articles should not exceed 5000 words including references. Longer articles will not be considered. In main short articles are preferred. Contributions for the Commentary section should be kept as brief as possible and in any case should not exceed 1000 words. Camera-ready artwork must be supplied for all figures: artwork intended for same-size use should have a maximum size of 170:100 mm. Any necessary retyping will be charged to the contributor. It is the author's responsibility to obtain permission for use of any copyright material. Authors are warned to avoid any comment that might be deemed libellous or in breach of confidentiality.
Essential notes should be collected on a single page at the end of the text. References in the text should be written thus: Brown (1975: 64-5), Brown and Smith (1975, 1980). The letters a, b, c and so on should distinguish different works by the same author in one year, for example Brown (1975a, 1975b). Extended quotations must be followed by page number references. All references cited should be listed alphabetically at the end of the article after any notes, using the following style:
