Manuscripts should be submitted electronically in MS Word format to Managing Editor Shahram Karimi (shahram.karimi@utoronto.ca). There are no publication charges except for circumstances requiring special printing, color reproduction, or unusual length and number of illustrations; in these cases, the publisher will provide cost information before the paper is accepted. Manuscripts should be written clearly and concisely and should conform to the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association, 5th edition (APA).
Manuscripts should consist of the following:
1. A title page, including the authors' names, the title and short running title, and the institution(s) (with all words spelled out in full) from which the paper emanates. If current addresses/affiliations are different, then these should be indicated in a footnote. Also include name, mailing address, phone and fax numbers, and e-mail address for each author. Indicate the number of pages, illustrations, and tables.
2. A succinct abstract, not exceeding 150 words, in a form acceptable to most abstracting services, followed by 6 to 8 key words.
3. A brief (20- to 30-word) biographical paragraph of each contributing author.
4. Abbreviations should be introduced in parentheses after the first occurrence of the term being abbreviated. Use standard metric units wherever possible.
5. References should follow guidelines shown in APA, Chapter 4 (pp. 215-281).
6. Written permission to reproduce copyrighted material (figures, tables, art, and extensive quotes) taken directly—or adapted in only minor ways—from another source is the author’s responsibility, as is payment of any fees the copyright holder may require. Note that failure to obtain permission will result in the removal of the particular item from the finalized article. A copy of the Reprint Permissions Request Form can be downloaded below.
Submission of a manuscript implies assurance that no similar paper has been submitted for publication elsewhere. Concurrence of all listed authors is assumed for all papers to be published. Manuscripts are evaluated on their merit by the editors with the assistance of selected referees. Copyright is vested in the publisher.
