Manuscript Submission Guidelines:
The
Journal of Management Inquiry features six sections: Essays, Meet the Person, Reflections on Experience, Nontraditional Research, Provocations and Provocateurs, and Dialog, each with its own editor and editorial board. Manuscripts must conform to the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (5th edition). Contributions vary in length, depending on which section they are written for. The title page should indicate the appropriate section, and all identifying information should be restricted to this one page. Submission of a manuscript implies commitment to publish in the journal. Submission to JMI implies that the manuscript has not been published elsewhere, nor is it under consideration by another journal. Authors in doubt about what constitutes prior publication should consult the editor.
Manuscripts must be submitted electronically at
http://mc.manuscriptcentral.com/jomi where authors will be required to set up an online account in the SAGETRACK system powered by ScholarOne.
All manuscripts submitted should be double-spaced throughout in 12-point Times Roman, should be anonomyzed, and must conform to the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (for those unfamiliar with APA please clink on this
APA cheat sheet link). Appropriate maximum page lengths for submissions depend on the section. Very generally, essays and reflections on experience should not exceed 30 pages, while non-traditional research should not exceed 40 pages. Other sections vary greatly depending on the submission and early communication with the relevant editor is recommended. Authors who want to refine the use of English in their manuscripts might consider utilizing the services of SPi, a non-affiliated company that offers Professional Editing Services to authors of journal articles in the areas of science, technology, medicine or the social sciences. SPi specializes in editing and correcting English-language manuscripts written by authors with a primary language other than English. Visit
http://www.prof-editing.com for more information about SPi’s Professional Editing Services, pricing, and turn-around times, or to obtain a free quote or submit a manuscript for language polishing.
Please be aware that SAGE has no affiliation with SPi and makes no endorsement of the company. An author’s use of SPi’s services in no way guarantees that his or her submission will ultimately be accepted. Any arrangement an author enters into will be exclusively between the author and SPi, and any costs incurred are the sole responsibility of the author.
