Guidelines for Contributors
1. Manuscripts and all editorial correspondence should be addressed to: The Editor, Journal of Creative Communications, Mudra Institute of Communications, Ahmedabad (MICA), Shela, Ahmedabad 380 058, India. E-mail: mcr_journal@mica.ac.in.
2. All articles should be typed on one side of the paper (preferably A4) and double-spaced throughout. Manuscripts should be accompanied by a CD-ROM or floppy disc in IBM compatible format, preferably in MS Word, and identical in every respect to the hard copy. All articles must be accompanied by an abstract of 200 words. Notes should be numbered serially and presented at the end of the article. Notes must contain more than a mere reference.
3. British spellings throughout; universal 'z' in '-ize' and '-ization' words.
4. Single quotes throughout. Double quote marks used within single quotes. Spellings of words in quotations should not be changed. Quotations of 45 words or more should be separated from the text.
5. Use 'twentieth century', '1980s'. Spell out numbers from one to nine, 10 and above to remain in figures. However, for exact measurements use only figures (3 km, 9 per cent not %). Use thousands and millions, not lakhs and crores.
6. Tables and figures should be indicated by number separately (see Table 1), not by placement (see Table below). Please use short and crisp titles and headings in tables and figures. The units of measurement should be stated and the sources should be cited at the foot of the table. Notes relating to the table should be placed after the source.
7. A consolidated alphabetical list of all books, articles, essays and theses referred to should be provided. These should be listed in alphabetical order of author, giving the author's surname first followed by initials. If more than one publication by the same author is listed, the items should be given in chronological order. References should be embedded in text in the anthropological style, for example:'(Sarkar 1987: 145)'. Citations should be first alphabetical and then chronological, for example, '(Ahmed 1987; Sarkar 1987; Wignaraja 1960)'. The detailed style of referencing is as follows:
a) Books: Korten, D. (1995). When Corporations Rule the World. San Francisco, CA: Berrett-Koehler.

e) Unpublished sources: Sandee, H. (1995). Innovations in Production. Unpublished Ph.D. thesis. Amsterdam: Free University.
8. Book reviews must contain the name of the author and title/sub-title of the book reviewed, place of publication and publisher, date of publication, number of pages and price.
