Library Journal Reviews Education, Psychology,
Management & Organization
Studies, and Urban Studies & Planning Collections
In her E-Views and Reviews section in the March 1st issue of
the Library Journal, Cheryl LaGuardia gave a positive assessment of
the Education and Psychology Collections. In her review, LaGuardia stated, For
content alone I would give these collections an eight, but add the new Illumina
systemwhich I give an enthusiastic tenand overall I would rate these as strong
nines. As the collections grow, and with Illumina presumably affording greater
access to web-based information, that rating will rise accordingly (LJ, 3/1/05).
In her June 1st review of the Management & Organization Studies and Urban Studies & Planning Collections, LaGuardia gave them a rating of 9.75 and 9.25, respectively, affirming that the backfiles at present are solid. She states that SAGE is assembling sound, substantial content that will be useful to a widening array of researchers (LJ, 6/1/05).
Over 7 Million Users Now Have Access to the SAGE

SAGE Announces Change in Backfile Policy
SAGE Publications is pleased to announce a change in our backfile policy
for our library customers. From 2006 forward, we will be providing access to
all volumes back to a fixed date of 1999 to all our customers with current
E-Access and/or Combined institutional subscriptions. Access will be available
as long as the library has a paid E-access or Combined institutional subscription.
Customers who have purchased volumes (which included an online component) in
1999 through 2005 retain perpetual online access to those volumes regardless
of the current status of their subscriptions. Full details will follow shortly.
SAGE is committed to serving the needs of our markets and we believe that this
change in our backfile policy illustrates our willingness to listen and act
on the ongoing feedback provided by the SAGE Library Advisory Boards.
