CRKN Renews Deal to Provide SAGE Premier to Member LibrariesLos Angeles, London, New Delhi, Singapore and Washington DC—(July 30, 2009) The Canadian Research Knowledge Network (CRKN) has signed an agreement with SAGE to access SAGE Premier, with content focusing on business, humanities, social sciences, and science, technology and medicine. Participating members of CRKN, an industry-leading, not-for-profit, collaborative organization made up of 72 member universities in Canada, will now have access to SAGE Premier, which includes 514 leading international peer-reviewed titles, including high-impact research journals published on behalf of more than 245 scholarly and professional societies. “CRKN is pleased to partner with SAGE in bringing this high-caliber content to our universities’ researchers and students,” said Deb deBruijn, Executive Director of CRKN. “The national agreement for SAGE Premier will provide a rich set of resources for our community, and will foster innovative and interdisciplinary research for more than 850,000 researchers at 65 universities across Canada.” The majority of CRKN institutions have also chosen to purchase the SAGE Deep Backfile package, which provides online access beginning with volume 1, issue 1 of hundreds of journals. “We’re very pleased to continue our relationship with CRKN,” said Tom Taylor, SAGE Vice President, Marketing & Sales. “The SAGE Premier and the Deep Backfile packages are examples of SAGE’s flexible, library-friendly purchasing options that make it easy for libraries and consortia like CRKN to continue their access to SAGE online journal content.” |
