SAGE offers interactive e-textbooks for fall classes

Los Angeles, (July 26, 2010) - SAGE continues to respond to the needs of students and instructors by now providing interactive e-book options  for two major criminology texts and a key sociology textbook for Fall 2010 classes.

These dynamic new e-books, which are ideal for students in both online and traditional courses who prefer a more contemporary, multimedia-integrated presentation for learning, include the popular and best selling:

  • Introduction to Criminology, 7e, by Frank E. Hagan (available now)
  • Contemporary Criminal Law, 2e, by Matthew Lippman (available now)
  • Social Problems, 3e, by Anna Leon-Guerrero (forthcoming this fall)

Each interactive e-book provides intuitive web functionality, offering integrated links to both video and audio sources, as well as complete access to carefully selected academic and professional articles from SAGE journals and reference works. Students also have the added benefit of a range of interactive study tools such as highlighting, bookmarking, note-taking, an interactive glossary, and more. Teaching and learning have never been easier.

"SAGE is, once again, leading the way, with the launch of these cutting-edge e-textbooks developed by Jerry Westby, Publisher with SAGE's U.S. College Division, in partnership with the Boston-based media production firm, VPG," commented Michele Sordi, SAGE Vice President and Editorial Director. "These innovative e-books, with their integrated links to engaging media and key academic articles, are ground-breaking examples of the course materials all classrooms will be using in the future."
