Sage open ENGINEERING now accepting SUBMISSIONS

Los Angeles, CA (October 12, 2012) – SAGE today announced that the SAGE Open Engineering is now open for submissions. Building on SAGE’s expanding portfolio in engineering, SAGE Open Engineering is a new Open Access journal aimed specifically at engineers.

Overseen by a world leading Advisory Board Chaired by Professor Eann Patterson, SAGE Open Engineering welcomes original articles on all aspects of engineering and materials science. Articles will be rigorously peer-reviewed but content will not be limited by page budgets or narrow thematic focus. They will be accepted on the basis of scientific and methodological validity only.

This new open access journal builds on the success of SAGE Open, the only broad-spectrum open access journal for the humanities and social sciences. Launched in May 2011 as SAGE’s premiere open access journal, it has recently published its 100th article and been honored with an Annual Award for Publication Excellence (APEX) in the category of New Magazines & Journals.

Karen Phillips, Editorial Director, SAGE commented “SAGE is committed to embracing new models and research communication mechanisms, with the goal of disseminating vital research to the broadest community. As a growing publisher in engineering research, we are extremely excited about SAGE Open Engineering and see it as a key addition to our portfolio, supporting the changing needs of researchers.”
