SAGE Knowledge Named SIIA Content CODiE Award Finalist for Best General Reference Service
Los Angeles, CA (January 10, 2012) SAGE today announced that SAGE Knowledge, the ultimate social science online library, is a finalist for the 2013 SIIA Content CODiE Awards for Best General Reference Service.
Serving as the pre-eminent awards program for the software and information industries, the SIIA CODiE Awards have been honoring excellence for 27 years. This year’s program has 75 categories organized by industry focus in Content, Education and Software.
Launched in July of 2012 with more than 2,500 titles, SAGE Knowledge is SAGE’s premier social science eBook platform containing an expansive range of SAGE eBooks and eReference content including encyclopedias, handbooks, advanced textbooks, scholarly monographs, professional development titles, and other selected works from Corwin and CQ Press. The SAGE Knowledge platform is easily navigated, allowing researchers to cross-search and seamlessly access all of its content from one source.
“Here at SAGE, we strive to not only publish high quality content, but also to make it easy to navigate and organize for learning, teaching, and researching,” said Karen Phillips, Editorial Director, SAGE. “SAGE Knowledge was developed in partnership with faculty, librarians, and students, with their best interests in mind. We are delighted that it has been selected as a 2013 finalist as a top reference service by SIIA.”
CODiE finalists represent the best products, technologies, and services created by or for media, publishers, and information services providers. CODiE Award winners will be announced during a special luncheon on January 31 in New York City during the SIIA’s annual flagship conference for information industry leaders, IIS 2013: Breakthrough.
“The CODiE Awards competition was extremely competitive this year with a record number of innovative products and solutions competing,” said Kathy Greenler Sexton, VP & General Manager for the Content Division at SIIA. “All of our CODiE Awards finalists should be commended for their innovation and market-leading products and services.”
