About the Book
Communication: A Critical/Cultural Introduction takes the charge from current scholarship in the fields of critical intercultural communication seriously and incorporates these ideas throughout the entire text. The theories and concepts that support a critical/cultural perspective of the world are featured while those ideas that fall outside this paradigm are covered as a foil for other ideas or simply eliminated in order to preserve a coherent perspective of the field. This choice is about creating a text that serves students as they begin to see how culture, identity, and ideology are produced and challenged through communication.
