All SAGE e-mails contain a link to view the mail online on our web site. If the graphics don't appear properly, if you have difficulty clicking through the links, or if your email comes in a text version, and you'd like to see it in HTML with graphics, please look for the link at the top of the email.

Here's how to make sure that our e-mails get to your inbox in any of the major e-mail providers (this is called "whitelisting"):

AOL

For AOL version 9.0: (top)
For AOL/SBC Yahoo, see Yahoo!. You can ensure that all SAGE mail is delivered to your Inbox by adding our sending address to your "People I Know" list.

  • Open your latest SAGE e-mail.
  • Click the Add Address button on the right-hand side to add SAGE to your "People I Know" list.

Alternatively, you can send an e-mail to the SAGE "From" address - that will add us to your "People I Know" list automatically.

  • Open your latest SAGE e-mail.
  • Copy the address in the "From" line.
  • Click the Reply button located in the top right corner.
  • A new e-mail window opens with an address pre-filled in the "Send To" box.
  • Replace the address in the Send To box with the one you copied out of the
    "From" line.
  • Click Send Now - located in the top right corner.

If for some reason the e-mail you send doesn't get through to us, the act of sending it automatically puts SAGE into your "People I Know" list.

If you're using an earlier version of AOL, you'll need to set your Mail Controls instead. Here's how:

  • Go to Keyword Mail Controls.
  • Select the screen name we're sending your mail to.
  • Click Customize Mail Controls For This Screen Name.
For AOL version 8.0: (top)

Others (top)

Many e-mail programs, including older versions of Outlook, Eudora, and Netscape Mail, don't provide an easy way for you to whitelist who you want to receive e-mail from. If you're using this sort of e-mail system and you either aren't getting your SAGE e-mail or want to make sure you continue to receive your SAGE mail in the future, you can contact your provider to solve the problem.

Contact the customer service department or the Postmaster at the company that provides your e-mail or Internet connection (your ISP). Notify them that SAGE mail is e-mail that you would like to receive and ask if they can whitelist us. (Unfortunately, some e-mail systems don't allow whitelisting.) If they do whitelist, they may ask for some information about us. Here's what to tell them:

Sending Address: If they ask for our address, give them the address in the "From" line of your most recent SAGE e-mail.

Domain: If they need to know the domain we're mailing from, tell them: @updates.sagepub.com.
