Time-pressed teachers and SENCOs wanting maximum-impact advice for dyslexia need look no further. This “little guide” is indeed gorgeously little and can be read in an afternoon, but it’s way more than a guide. I’d say it’s the nuts and bolts for any educator or parent wanting the headlines for supporting learners with dyslexia. Claire succinctly but expertly steers us through essential territory, from research-based definitions to supporting self-esteem, confidence and metacognition. The book is hype-free but rich in practical, doable high quality first teaching tips.
