Achieving QTS Series
"The book covered, quite simply, all of the facts of assessments that trainee teachers need to know"- Senior Lecturer, Kingston University
Good addition for PGCE students to refer to as there is great confusion around AfL for students and how they can make it part of their teaching rather than an afterthought.
Excellent summary of AfL for secondary trainees
This text was part of the essential reading list I gave for a first year module called Curriculum Design on a BSc Education programme. As part of that module students consider issues around designing an appropriate curriculum and hence consideration of assessments is one key area. This text is written in a very student friendly way and hence was very good as a text for this particular module and level of students.
Fantastic read for assessment, very similar read to other QTS.
A simple, well-written book with clear guidelines and information about how to use assessment sucessfully to help pupils achieve.
