The book is easy to read and is laid out really well.
A welcome update to this essential book.
An essential reader for engaging students in issues that are not covered by the EYFS. Excellent source for level 5 Early Years courses.
This has been a recommended text for our students for some time and the new chapter on safeguarding is particularly timely. The book is useful across a range of modules including contemporary issues, child health and inclusion.
As the title suggest this is an up-to-date book written by a variety of authors on a wide range of subjects. Each of these chapters will be relevant to modules delivered on my course.
An excellent book for all students undertaking an early years or childhood studies course. Some great scenarios and case studies within it. Copies are now in our library.
This has been added as a recommended read as it covers the basis for many of our core modules.
The structure followed a consistent framework and was a very approachable read for undergraduate learners.
Links from policy to practice are made, which directs the developing student in a clear and straightforward way. The summaries at the end of each chapter include reflection points, which have created useful areas of discussion in seminar/workshop sessions. A comprehensive text for both students and lecturers alike!
