'I congratulate the authors in recognising the need for such a publication and for producing such an accessible and useful glossary'
Gordon Stobard, Emeritus Professor of Education, Instittue of Education, University of London
Brilliant book for Teachers Trainers! One of the best I have seen for assessment - well, this and Tummons's book. It goes into sufficient depth but not too much detail on a range of different types of assessment from APL to Work-based Assessment (WBA). This book is accessible to everyone and should be in every college's LRC. Great for AET and DET trainees alike!
The content of this book defines terms related to assessment clearly making it simpler for those who do not understand the terms. The book covers several concepts related to assessment and theory, useful book for referencing.
Good book for reference. Explains terms well and gives references to explore each one further.
I have now completed the reading of this text and I have found it to be very accessible and it covers a number of the main principles that learners on our courses need to grasp, the glossary is also very useful. As a direct consequence we have made it an essential reader.
An excellent resource for clarification of key terms.
Very good book to be suplementary to discussions and reflexion about educational assessment. This book Covers several concepts/terms related to assessment in education.
This book is very useful for those studying at the higher levels in that it presents many differeing perspectives on assesment. The reading lists for the book enable the reader to follow up any areas of interest. This is a very though provoking book that promotes debate on many issues surrounding the nature of asessment
A useful resource for initial Teacher Training students
Unfortunately books already confirmed for course but will be looking out for next review
