An excellent resource that recognises the complexity of human behaviour and the interplay between multiple factors that determine outcomes; whilst also recognising the need to shine a light on the bigger issues relating to health inequalities when addressing 'health promotion'.
I coordinate a core course entitled Society, Behaviour and Health for Master of Public Health students. I find the book very helpful as it covers our syllabus on health promotion and health belief models. A very good reference indeed.
We need a somewhat more general text for students who become nutritionists in the first place. Also because of some rules within university i need a somewhat cheaper book to make sure the costs stay manageable for students.
