Sabyasachi Kar Institute of Economic Growth, University of Delhi, India
is Associate Professor at the Institute of Economic Growth, University of Delhi. He has published a number of books and academic articles on macroeconomics, growth and development economics, with particular focus on the Indian economy. He is currently collaborating with the Effective States and Inclusive Development (ESID), University of Manchester, and the Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University, on an extensive cross-country study of political and economic institutions and their relationship with growth. His doctoral thesis is titled as ‘Factors Underlying Growth in Low Income Economics: A Theoretical and Empirical Analysis Based on a Cross-section of Countries’ (July 2000).
