A good book for all who with to delve in to the world of Coaching and educational leadership.
The specific Educational Leader focus of this book will help those who can see the value of coaching within the leadership setting and have a strong interest in the wider application of professional reflection. It clearly addresses the practical side of coaching (how to ask different questions, when to keep quiet etc. and this will build confidence). Personal professional growth is at the heart of this book. The case studies are instantly recognisable as situations that occur on a regular basis and as such provide pragmatic models.
Excellent text, essential bookshelf material
I found this text very helpful in pulling together theory into practice. The way in which this is done is very accessible. Students who have read the book (and raved about it) say that having read it, a lightbulb comes on. Praise indeed
Comprehensive range to share with students on coaching module...will use the chapters on leadership and action research in particular.
Some interesting material contained here (a good read!) but not directly appropriate for the course I am considering at the moment.
