An excellent text for students that are a little rusty on SPSS. This is a very good guide which I will recommend as essential reading.

This subject area is one that is difficult to grasp if you are new to reserach. The book would be beneficial if you are undertaking quantitative research and will be using statistical anlysis as it will support your underpinning knowledge of the subject. It is a book that you will continuously refer back to.

I find the book very helpful and it enables my students to have a better understanding of Interpreting Quantitative Data with IBM SPSS Statistics. Many of my students use SPSS for their thesis, and there for this is a very useful handbook.
I think that the SPSS lab sessions following each chapter which demonstrate how SPSS can be used in practice, is the most important part for students.
Thank-you for giving me the opportunity to review this most helpful book.

This is a very good book. Antonius has hit the mark for undergrads and postgrads with enough maths for those keen, budding statisticians but not too much to lose the less stats-oriented student. The descriptions are equally well-pitched.

It is very student-friendly. The figures are very helpful and provide additional support. SPSS tutorials are very well presented. ANOVA chapter is one of the clearest ANOVA chapters ever written.

Although Interpreting Quantitative Data is an excellent introduction to statistics and data analyisis I still prefer Andy Field's Discovering Statistics Using SPSS.

A great book and key resource for undergraduates and post graduates who are undertaking quantitative research. Well laid out and clear.

An excellent text providing clear feedback and instruction on all apsects of the SPSS programme. The key aspect is that the tables and figures are taken directly from SPSS output which makes the data and interpretation and visual representation very real.
