This book is a good companion for all counselling trainees wanting to further understand how to work with CBT techniques to help their clients manage their anxiety.
Anxiety, and how to conceptualise it, are explained in detail. Specific anxiety problems are highlighted and the authors’ guide practitioners through the formulations for each specific anxiety problem.
The book has a good balanced between theoretical explanations of the various problems with the authors’ own personal experiences. A good book to accompany CBT training.

A brilliant text which gives the essentials for understanding and treating anxiety disorders in a very neat and well considered format.
The title 'Counselling for anxiety disorders' may be a little confusing as the treatment approach discussed is CBT.
