This is an excellent and concise introduction to the subject. Certainly one I would recommend my year 1 DET students or possibly the more adventurous AET trainees.
A very interesting and informative book which includes generic chapters that cover all aspects of teaching in the classroom. It is easily accessible to students starting a teacher training course which can be 'dipped into' rather than read from cover to cover. Learning theories, group exercises and learning styles are all addressed.
This book explains teaching training methods in a very understandable way and includes some really good examples.

Although there are some really useful and interesting chapters in this book, we generally felt that this book was more geared to teachers of children and not FE lecturers who we are teaching
This book is set out in a logical and easy to read manner, it supports trainee teachers to understand and develop their practice through the key issues and theoretical perspectives discussed. I highly recommend this book.
