We have recommended this book to our trainee counsellors as we have found that they will often 'do' personal development just because they are supposed to and do not embrace the importance of life-long personal development for therapists. This book is helpful in getting them to question (and answer) for themselves "Why do I need to do Personal Development?"

This book is well structured and easy to follow. The questions at the end of each chapter pose some very interesting points for discussion in lectures. Students and lecturers felt it would be helpful to use as an aid to their studies but not essential.
