Gives a good overview of teaching English.
The evidence base used through out the book is fantastic and gives me real confidence in everything that is said. As a result I feel that I have enhanced my teaching skills in the classroom, would recommend to anyone with an interest in teaching English or for those that already do.

This book is little more heavy reading than others i have read. Saying that the content is very good and useful.

This book is presented as a collection of 10 discrete chapters. Although most of the chapters are very interesting and there are some excellent ideas, the book is not ideal as core course book. Some areas of English teaching are not covered and it is not really structured as one would expect for a course book. Nevertheless, I'd definitely recommend it as a supplemertary book.
