The book focussed on seminars and lectures, with very little on flipped classrooms, on-line or distance learning. The assessment sections were also very traditional and rather dated, focussing on exam and essay marking.
Wanted a book which was more use to teachers & students, not just academics

This text is a good supportive text for students in preparing their activities within a PGCert Ed. Its a helpful, how to guide, providing a useful checklist for the novice teacher in HEI. It encourages the student to try different approaches and set up theiur learning more effectively
This book keeps things simple, some good ideas many of which are common sense but easy mistakes to make when worrying about creating the perfect lectures and seminars.
Good for support reading;suitable for PGCE students.
