I concur with previous reviewers comments. this text address the challenges that face Nurses when caring for critically ill patients. With the increase number of pregnant women with complex needs this text adds valuable reading and reflection opportunities.

This book looks at acute illness as a whole. It identifies the pathophysiology of acute illness in an easy to read manor. Enabling the reader to grasp the concepts and apply this to the theoretical concept of acute deterioration.
An excellent book.

This text is used on the pre-reg Nursing the adult requiring critical care module. It is also an easy read for qualified nurses, particularly newley qualified, on other post-reg pathways and would be suitable for revision prior to OSCE's.
