I think this is an excellent text which will be highly valued by trainers and students alike.
I think it is an excellent, pertinent and practical text. This should be a core text for all CYPF training courses across the UK and beyond. I will be buying it for staff and student reference and recommending it to students and to Universities locally.
Although this is text is largely focussed on counselling it provides an excellent basis of the theoretical models relating to child development. The information is presented in an accessible way enabling a wide variety of learners to understand and apply the theory to their own practice. The book would be an excellent text for specialist courses and models and a useful resource to compliment learning on more generic courses.
