I would recommend this introduction to CBT to any trainee, but especially those preparing to work in IAPT services. The chapters on the therapeutic realtionship and how to work with emotion in CBT are particularly helpful and well written, while avoiding becoming too technical or fuzzy! The use of case studies to illustrate how theoretical aspects of therapy translate into practice is particularly helpful.

An excellent practical resource that links theory and practice of cbt throughout by the use of case studies. The inclusion of a chapter on mindfulness is a welcome addition.
This is proving to be an essential book for early learners and practitioners of CBT. It is most useful as a lecturing aid and after ordering it is now in our library with students referring to it regularly.
A good book to aid the understanding of cognitive behaviour. Although it is specific to one area it is certainly worth considering as a purchase.
