This easily readable book allows students to understand the complexities of childcare law in the UK. It uses current case examples to make the issues live for the reader. Also, it is well set out and understandable. Essential reading for trainee Social Workers!
Clearly laid out, up-to-date, and written in an accessible way for non-lawyers. I have found the book to be very helpful for students as a specialist text on the social work and law module, and I am aware a colleague has also recommended it for use on the children and families module.

This has been recommended as supplementary reading for the level 4 students. This book refers to the PCF so is very current and offers the students case studies which are particularly valuable for the level 4 students to support their integration to practice.
This is a beautifully written book, with clear and concise language. As the English law is lightly different to Irish law, I can only recommend this to my students as supplemental reading.
