Big data, policing & real-world impact: SAGE's monthly big data & social research roundup out now

September 25, 2017

This month’s issue of SAGE’s Big Data Newsletter explores the power of big data for real-world impact using the Royal United Services Institute's recently released report entitled Big Data and Policing: An Assessment of Law Enforcement Requirements, Expectations and Priorities as an example. It also includes a 25 percent discount for the SAGE Campus online data science course on Practical Data Management with R for Social Scientists (use the discount code dsnewsletter).

SAGE Campus is one of the ways that SAGE is responding to the rise of big data and new technology, equipping researchers with the skills they need to embrace the data revolution. The reviews so far have been promising, such as in its debut class, Introduction to Python. “My overall experience with SAGE campus has been wonderful,” said Sunita Rao of SAGE Campus’ first cohort. “It provides a great learning environment. The instructors are helpful and answer questions as soon as possible.”
