Technology from Sage Innovators Award
The Technology from Sage Innovators Award commends examples of technological innovations in e-resources librarianship, especially in support of pedagogy and/or research workflows across campus. This annual award recognizes an academic or law librarian who, through research, service to the profession, or other creative activity, makes distinguished contributions to bibliography and information service in law or political science. This award honors Marta Lange, 1990-91 Law and Political Science Section (LPSS) Chair, whose exceptional talents as a leader were enhanced by a wonderful collegial spirit.
Down's Award for Academic Freedom
The Robert B. Downs Intellectual Freedom Award acknowledges individuals or groups who have furthered the cause of intellectual freedom, particularly as it impacts libraries and information centers and the dissemination of ideas. Granted to those who have resisted censorship or efforts to abridge the freedom of individuals to read or view materials of their choice or to hear or express ideas, the award may be in recognition of a particular action or a long-term interest in and dedication to the cause of intellectual freedom.
Scholarship with Joint Council of Librarians of Color
Sage and the Joint Council of Librarians of Color (JCLC Inc.) will award $2,000 each to five library school students – one from each of the five National Associations of Librarians of Color (NALCo).
Peter Lyman Memorial Scholarship in New Media
The Peter Lyman Memorial/SAGE Scholarship in New Media will support a student in an ALA accredited master’s program in Library and Information Studies pursuing a specialty in new media.
