SAGE begins publishing the Food and Nutrition Bulletin

April 29, 2015

Los Angeles, CA - SAGE today announces that it will begin publishing the Food and Nutrition Bulletin, one of the leading resources used by researchers, academics, nutrition policy makers and planners in over 125 countries to obtain the most current research and policy information related to nutrition in developing countries.. Food and Nutrition Bulletin is the official publication of the Nevin Scrimshaw International Nutrition Foundation and is an established resource for educators, researchers and policy influencers world-wide.

“After a half century of publication and efforts at capacity building in nutrition within the developing world, the Food and Nutrition Bulletin is shifting from direct publication by the Nevin Scrimshaw International Nutrition Foundation to the global scientific publisher SAGE,” commented Dr. Irwin Rosenberg, editor-in-chief. “I am most enthusiastic about this forward step for the Food and Nutrition Bulletin and expanding our real impact in the fields of nutrition science, development, and humanitarian policy where the journal already holds a commanding position.”

The Food and Nutrition Bulletin publishes articles on nutrition research, policy analyses and summaries and reports from global organizations concerned with food and nutrition, including: the United Nations Standing Committee on Nutrition (SCN), the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), the World Health Organization (WHO), the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), the United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund (UNICEF), the United Nations University (UNU), the World Bank, and the World Food Programme (WFP). The journal accepts submissions from authors across the globe and encourages developing-country authorship.

“A mission-driven company, SAGE is pleased to support a journal that disseminates the most current research on pivotal food and nutrition issues in the developing world,” commented Bob Howard, Vice President of Journals, SAGE.
