This very readable book is an excellent resource for all healthcare practitioners. In the introduction chapters, it clearly outlines the concept of ethics, but places that concept at the heart of healthcare outlining why ethical debates are important when faced with the dilemma of deciding on the correct course of action in challenging situations.
Students directed to two chapters within the book for asynchronous teaching activates. Great book which explores ethical theories and offers practical examples of ethical dilemmas.
Learners adopted this book and was on the essential reading list. This was for 1st year nursing BSc. the language used was appropriate and catered for those who had a level 2 or 3 language level. Also, the activities and discussion points in the book were relevant and applicable to HCA's or nurses on placement
This book is well structured and a relatively easy read for a nursing student at undergraduate level. The vignettes interspersed throughout the book make the subject 'come alive'. They are also relevant to an Irish situation.
A detailed book on ethics. Interesting and in depth book. This would be a supplementary read for 3rd-year midwives on their ethics module.

Very good text which covers all the theory.
I like the section on 'individual conscience approach to ethics'. We also relate the virtue ethics section in our simulation projects and other experiential learning that we relate in terms of nurse leadership.
A useful text which looks at core theories in ethics but considers contemporary practice issues.

The concepts of trust and judgment are fundamental to the practice of all healthcare practitioners. These concepts, amongst others, permeate the discussions in this text in a sensible and readable way and make me feel that all carers should access this useful text.
A good book relevant. Easy to read
An easy yo navigate and read text addressing the issues realting to ethics in nursing practice. The case examples throughout the book provide additional things to consider and the additional online materials are useful sources of to develop learning further. The comlpexity of ethics, morals and socialogy are tied together to provide a useful infomrative textbook.
This book has a lot of examples and discussion to illustrate how ethical theories, the law etc are used. I think it will help students to understand the differences between different concepts and how they can be applied to nursing practice.

Am not keen on the format of the book and I found it very text heavy.
