In response to research and feedback from our market, including discussions with the library community, Sage has expanded its offerings to consortia customers. We now provide all of the following purchase options to library consortia. 

Gold OA journals are not included in Sage packages. For library customers selecting packages, simply select both the Sage package you have purchased and the All Gold OA package to maintain access.

Sage Premier provides access to more than 1000 Sage journal titles in Business, Humanities, Social Sciences, and Science, Technology, and Medicine with complimentary access back to 1999, where available, while a current subscription is maintained.

Sage Deep Backfile Package includes the content of a journal from its first issue through the last issue of 1998 and the following:

• Electronic access to more than 690+ journals and 986,000 articles
• Highly-ranked content in Business, Humanities, Social Sciences, and Science, Technology, and Medicine
• Perpetual online access to material which was previously available exclusively in print (hosting fees apply)
• Flexible pricing and licensing options (lease or purchase individual titles or the entire package)

Sage Humanities and Social Science (HSS) Package provides access to more than 780+ journals in the humanities and social sciences fields, with 76% ranked in the Journal Citation Reports (Source: Clarivate, 2025*). Complimentary access is provided back to 1999 while a current subscription is maintained.

Sage Science, Technology, and Medicine Packages provide access to more than 390+ journals, 85% ranked in the Journal Citation Reports (Source: Clarivate 2025*) with complimentary access back to 1999, where available, while a current subscription is maintained, in the following packages:

Clinical Medicine: 180+ journals

Health Sciences: 260+ journals
