Description

The Third Edition of Terrorism in Perspective, like its two successful predecessors, takes a broad-based approach that emphasizes the historical, cultural, political, religious, social, and economic factors that underlie an understanding of both global and domestic terrorism. This unique text-reader combines original essays with the best of the existing literature on terrorism. Each chapter of this text begins with an overview essay written by the authors, followed by two relevant and engaging articles culled from a wide variety of popular, academic, and governmental sources. This is the only major terrorism text to incorporate readings from top terrorism experts into a traditional textbook format, allowing readers to deepen their understanding of each aspect of terrorism.

Recent Product Reviews:

A well structured, and written, text regarding this important topic.
Mr Peter Karlsson, Sch of Health & Social Sciences - HOS, Halmstad University
Good text with nice articles at the ends of chapters.
Dr Bonnie Semora, Social Sciences Division, Dalton State College
Insightful and appropriate for course learning objectives
Mr MarK Harvey, Public Services, Weston College
Spindlove, J.R., & Simonsen, C.E. (2013). Terrorism today: The past, the players, the future (5th ed.). Upper Saddle River, NJ: Pearson.is the text I'm using. They finally updated their text so I'm going back to it. It fits me because I use a "journal-like" grading and that text lends itself more to "travels" around the world when they can use "passports" as a grading assignment. The other text was good but I could not use my (old) grading features."
Dr Ryan Getty, Social Work Soc Crim Just Dept, Tarleton State University
