Chris Lockwood

Dr. Chris Lockwood has been awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award by The Marquis Who’s Who Publication Board. https://wwlifetimeachievement.com/2018/09/22/chris-a-lockwood/Chris, a first generation degree seeker, began his working career by enlisting in the U.S. Navy in1964. Chief Electronics Technician Lockwood left the navy upon completion of his bachelor degree and the end his tour on an Admiral’s Staff in 1980. He then earned both an M.B.A. and Ph.D. degrees in business administration from Arizona State University and joined the faculty at Northern Arizona University. Dr. Lockwood has served on the Arizona Governor’s Advisory Council on Quality and as an active consultant. He also served as a judge for the Arizona Governor’s Awards for Quality based on the criteria used by the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award. While still active in research and publication, Dr. Lockwood has retired from Northern Arizona University where he taught both undergraduate and graduate courses in organizational strategy and human resource management. His current research interests include core competence, organizational assessment, strategic management, employee selection and measurement improvement issues. He has published numerous articles in management journals and in the proceedings of national conferences. His work has appeared in The Academy of Strategic Management Journal, Arizona Business, the Journal of Applied Psychology, Journal of Business Inquiry: Research, Education and Application, Journal of Vocational Behavior, Organizational Behavior Teaching Review, and Personnel Administrator. His professional memberships have included the Academy of Management, the American Society for Quality, the Arizona Quality Alliance, the Decision Sciences Institute, Operations Management Association and the Strategic Management Society.
