Esther Ugo Alum

Dr. Esther Ugo Alum, a Biochemist and Senior Researcher at Kampala International University Uganda, holds a Ph.D. in Toxicological Biochemistry. She is a member of several professional societies, serves as an editorial member for journals, and is part of research teams that have successfully obtained and implemented research funds. The present focus of Dr. Esther's research is on the utilisation of plant-derived natural compounds for the treatment of various diseases, especially those characterised by inflammation and oxidative stress. Thus, she is striving to comprehend the mechanisms by which phytochemicals can modify these disease processes and perhaps offer novel concepts for treatment and prevention.
