Julie Corbett

Dr. Julie Corbett is a leader and systems thinker who strives to positively impact the lives of children by improving the access to and the quality of the U.S. public education system. As the President and Founder of Corbett Education Consulting, Dr. Corbett works with organizations and agencies that understand the need for and promote entrepreneurial, innovative, and transformative change in schools that put students at the heart of all decision making. She specializes in education systems and democracy, identification & mitigation of systemic barriers in education and education governance; creation of accessible tools and resources for practitioners, board trainings, & district consulting. She is passionate about mitigating barriers to community voice and empowering community members to participate in civic engagement. Dr. Corbett is a former school board member and serves on the board of a place-based cradle to career organization. She is also the creator and host of the Seats of Change: The Future of School Boards podcast. She has an Ed.D. from American University, an MPA from the University of Delaware, and a BA from Denison University.
