Louise Elali is a Doctoral Researcher at the University of Sussex (UK). Her PhD research examines self-representation in digital culture as a means to explore one’s own identity, by relating the process of construction of international students’ identities and the construction of their profiles on social media. She holds a Masters Degree in Global Visual Communication (Jacobs University Bremen – Germany) and bachelor degrees in Journalism (Universidade Potiguar – Brazil) and Psychology (Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte – Brazil). Her broad research interests include identity, representations, digital media, and digital culture.
