Sarah Halpern-Meekin is a professor in the School of Human Ecology and the La Follette School of Public Affairs at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Her research focuses on family relationships and family finances and the role of government policy in intervening in those areas. This includes studies of on-again/off-again relationships, the experiences of men who are out of the formal labor market, and the experiences of mothers who are receiving unconditional cash transfers.
