Estonia EIFL

Agreement

Estonia is an eligible EIFL partner country for an EIFL-negotiated agreement with Sage through the EIFL (Electronic Information for Libraries) licensing programme. The agreement for participating institutions will run from January 01, 2023 to December 31, 2026. The details of the agreement are as follows:

To qualify for the agreement, the corresponding author must be affiliated with one of the institutions listed and have an accepted article in an eligible journal that enters production between January 01, 2023, and December 31, 2026.

Publish open access in a subscription journal

Corresponding authors publishing an article in 900+ subscription journals (the 2026 Sage Premier Package): which offer hybrid open access publishing (Sage Choice) can be published open access, free of charge. Charges other than the author article process charge (APC) may still apply, please refer to individual journal submission guidelines.

Authors in subscription journals do not need to take any action to benefit from this offer. Sage will contact all eligible authors informing them of the Open Access agreement with EIFL inviting them to Sage Journals: Licensing & Payment to take up the offer as soon as their accepted article has been received into Sage’s Production department.

Publish in a gold open access journal

Corresponding authors publishing an article in a gold open access journal are also entitled to a 20% discount on the prevailing article processing charge (APC) for that journal. For participating journals view the gold journal title list. This discount will be applied automatically in Sage Journals: Licensing & Payment. Where an author is eligible for more than one discount, discounts cannot be combined but the highest discount available to the author will be applied to the APC due.

The agreement is open to corresponding authors affiliated with Estonia EIFL institutional members.
